I love your post about fathers. Really speaks to me too! I have an exact photo of my Dad with that grin and sparkle in his eye holding a fish out here on the Delta in CA! Being an only child and daughter I have been Daddy's girl. Dad's 82 now and I find myself feeling the days growing shorter and moments with him make me stop thinking about anything because I'm really so painfully aware of what he means to me. I can feel the impact already! Nice finding you somewhere in NJ!Cyndy Goldmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07958996798772143194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18784445.post-1150772621156218202006-06-19T22:03:00.000-05:002006-06-19T22:03:00.000-05:00Robin Andrea: thanks for your visit. I think all...Robin Andrea: thanks for your visit. I think all daughters must know the special way their dad's look at them - my brothers always teased that I could get away with the world! Very hard to see that light go out of my dad's eyes for me as he was dying. In his last days, because of his illness, *he* had gone and I was just another somebody there at his bedside. It was so strange to be looked at that way. Anyway, I've read your tributes to your dad on your blog and was always moved by them. Blessings to you and your dad in his rest.LauraHinNJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08329387562570495570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18784445.post-1150736467011893702006-06-19T12:01:00.000-05:002006-06-19T12:01:00.000-05:00You have it absolutely right about fathers who lov...You have it absolutely right about fathers who loved their daughters, Laura. Their impact long outlives them. I'm grateful for that. My dad's been gone since 1992 and the light he held in his eyes and the love that he had in his heart for me have been my constant companions.robin andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06386655587963143782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18784445.post-1150715746402796262006-06-19T06:15:00.000-05:002006-06-19T06:15:00.000-05:00I heard this week that Father's Day ranks just bel...I heard this week that Father's Day ranks just below Groundhog Day on a list of the importance of American holidays.
