I have literally counted them by the 100's as they take off in a long line and fly just above the surface of the water. It seems they may fit in the nuisance category like pigeons and geese. We've been seeing the males and females flying together lately, but no dramatic displays of affection yet. I wish it didn't kill my neck to stare up at them for long periods of time.
