Let me count the ways....

How convenient that Blogger has gone wonky. I didn't have much to say anyway. I've spent the last hour or two kicking around ideas and probably won't be able to get even this lame post up tonight.

I've been playing around with a Wordpress site and so far I've found it to be much more manageable. Not quite ready to take the plunge, but may be soon.

Susan you're silly.

I'm feeling brain-dead tonight. Probably has something to do with grading mid-term exams all day.

There is not a single interesting idea in my head.

Pretend to be surprised by that.

I have been pretty frustrated with Blogger the last few weeks myself. I hope that these issues get resolved soon.

I thought it was my computer for a bit yesterday as it was doing such funky things everytime I tried to bring up my fav blogs on tabs. It can be maddening for sure, but like you, I am hesitant to leave Blogger...

And I also have those days when I think I don't have an interesting thought in my head, but then my brain convinces me otherwise...err, at least I think it does. ;c)

Some days I am grasping at nothing to write about. Just not there. And I have heard of Wordpress. It might be a good option. It would be nice not having to hold your breath and hoping for the best when uploading photos and clicking on publish...

It seems that you're not alone with Blogger problems. I read about them quite often when visiting several of my favourite blogs. Would it be difficult to migrate a blog from Blogger to Wordpress? That would probably be my biggest concern if I were thinking of making a switch.

I like the flexibility and formatting that I've seen on others' blogs with both Typepad and Wordpress - not sure which one to go with, but when I have the time, I'm definitely going to move. I've read of several ex-Bloggers who have migrated to Wordpress quite easily. I think the only part that doesn't transfer is the comments.

By the way, are you saving your blog to your C-drive so that you don't lose all that good stuff if something happens to Blogger? If not, take a look at HTTrack Website Copier. I update daily - it's really easy to use.

I like Wordpress and I use Flickr for my photos - I think you'll like them too!

I endorse HTTrack. It is simple to use and does the backup work while you can do other things. That reminds me that I better do a backup myself soon.

John: It seems lately to be always one thing or another. It's free though!

Samtzmom: It is kind of scary to think of having to learn a whole new system. For now I'm just playing around with Wordpress.

Mary: Yes - I do a lot of finger-crossing and hoping for the best! (And cursing!)

LauraO: You're a glutton for punishment - you left and came back! Is the beta an improvement so far?

Bev: I'm not sure and don't know of anyone that's done it lately and is talking about it. One blog I read *migrated* and the old posts seemed totally mixed up.

Pam: I'm not saving them and didn't know how to! Thank you for the link - that will make me feel a bit better!

Naturewoman: Wordpress seems okay - just very different than the simple way of Blogger. I know who to go to for help! ;-)

Oh, Typepad is also a nice option. I used it for awhile and then returned to Blogger. Not as many features on Blogger but on Typepad I was being tempted to pay to blog because they have MORE features you can pay for. I'd used Blogger before and just felt "safe" there. :)

Seriously though -- most of your problems will be solved if you use Flickr for storing your photos and blog from there! :)

-llm.: I tried using Flickr the other night, but couldn't get the pic to move where I wanted it. I need to spend more time with it to figure it out, as I've only just set up and account there.
