Color to delight the eye

Yes, I'm playing with that macro lens again! And finding that my mistakes are often more interesting than the few photos that are perfectly in focus. I'm learning that using this lens requires a very deliberate way of seeing things and enjoying how easy it is to make an image that is about only color or shape. Anyway, sort of fun!

Anyone care to guess the flower?

This is funny. I just posted a 'guess what it is picture, too'. I'm so bad with flowers. Hmmm. Let me see. Hmmmm. Christmas Cactus?

I am going to be another vote weighing in for tulip.
Brilliant color.
Playing with the macro feature is fun. So far, I have only closed in on about a 2 inch focus. Looks like you got even closer!

I think it is a tulip, too.
And, are you ever right about the mistakes sometimes turning out better than the intended shot!

I'd say it's a tulip too. I love the colours, and agree that macro abstracts can be pretty cool!

When I first saw it last night I noticed some shine and thought it might be a tulip, too. Are your tulips up? Our came up this week.

I thought the same thing as Mary but I'm not sure whether you would have tulips up yet or not. If not a tulip, is it an indoor or an outdoor plant?

Yep tulips, from the grocery store!
