iPod meme (revisited)

I thought it might be fun to do this again. Santa brought me an iPod Touch this year after Luka ruined the other with spilt coffee.

Put your iPod on shuffle and blog the first twenty songs in the shuffle.

1. Eider, Common
2. Sparrow, Lark
3. Save the Last Dance for Me - Michael Buble
4. Boondocks - Little Big Town
5. Sitting, Waiting, Wishing - Jack Johnson
6. Skimmer, Black
7. Trumpets - The Waterboys
8. Oh Very Young - Cat Stevens
9. Bring it on Home - Little Big Town
10. Owl, Barn
11. Your Man - Josh Turner
12. Want To - Sugarland
13. Forever My Friend - Ray LaMontagne
14. Ovenbird
15. Everything - Michael Buble
16. Church Not Made With Hands - The Waterboys
17. Plover, Piping
18. Song for You - Michael Buble
19. Water Ballerina - Luka Bloom
20. Tangled Up - Billy Currington

So.. what's on your iPod? Something besides bird songs and sappy country music?

;-)

I don't think I will ever get an iPod. I was never into Walkmans either. I listen to music in my car and on my computer mainly.

Ray LaMontagne? I didn't know any one outside of Maine knew who he was--he's from Hartford, Maine, a little town near mine. Maybe he's made the big time and no one sent us the memo.

So, Laura, how did Luka start drinking coffee?

Bird songs on the iPod! What a great idea! Where do you get the recordings?

There is nothing on my Ipod that I received for Christmas a year ago. I don't know how it works and it didn't come with instructions. And, I keep forgetting to get my daughter to show me. I should be embarrassed.

Now, I think you are too harsh on yourself...the Waterboys are on there.

Hi Laura
I'm one of the few without an iPod. In this tech. age that is rare I guess.

Laura--at first I thought--oh no, there's a new group called Eider, Common. And then I realized--you have bird calls recorded and in your i-pod shuffle.
O-k-a-y. . . Well, to answer your question--I am podless too. My daughter & son have them, as do their partners, but not mom. Mom is old-fashioned. I listen mostly to classical or classic rock. And when I want the Beethoven 5th symphony, that's what I want. Or when I want Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, that's what I want.

Yeah. I don't have an iPod. Probably never will... I have the new Eagles CDs in my car... Does that count for anything?

Ruth, you can listen to your iPod in your car!

I'll have to do this meme later when I take my iPod out of my car. I have lots of birds songs on mine too. I also have a ton of Podcasts. I'm re-learning Spanish through it. I don't think Podcasts come up in shuffle though.

Sadly, the only names I know on there are Jack Johnson, Cat Stevens, and Michael Buble.

Hi Laura,
No iPod for this old bird either! I think blogging is my first step into the 21st century and that's keeping me entertained enough.

Ruth: But they're so much fun!

Beth: Hi! I don't know about the big time, but I like him!

Mojoman: It's a long story - mostly my fault rather than Luka's.

Bird songs (or any other) can be added from any CD's you own or can borrow.

;-)

Mary: Get that working... you'll love it.. trust me!

Trixie: Hmm... surprised you've even heard of them. A favorite from college... how do you know them?

jeanmac: ;-)

kgmom: That's what's so neat - you can put just about anything on them.

Gregor: None of that surprises me somehow! ;-)

Jennifer: Only if you listen to it, I guess.

Patrick: Hi. I've been trying to avoid podcasts cause then I'd have no time for anything else! Good luck with the Spanish lessons.. or should I say.. buena suerte?

;-)

RuthieJ: One step at a time, right?

Okay, first, I'm not including bird songs... I have way too many of those on my iPod. The first time I tried this, 15 of the 20 songs were birds!

Second caveat: Only my music songs rated 4 stars plus are even on my iPod, so, well, I guess this reflects my musical tastes pretty well in a kind of random way.

Here goes:

1. Feelin' Stronger Everyday - Chicago
2. My Little Town - Paul Simon
3. Ton Collier - Kevin Parent
4. Beginnings - Chicago
5. Outrageous - Paul Simon
6. Love's Recovery - Indigo Girls
7. Bop Again - The Heath Brothers
8. 25 or 6 to 4 - Chicago
9. Everything - Michael Buble
10. Pagayez - Zachary Richard
11. (I've Been) Searchin' So Long - Chicago
12. Exactly Like You - Tony Bennett & K.D. Lang
13. Berlin Tonight - Bruce Cockburn
14. Chanson pour Les Petits Enfants - Jimmy Buffett
15. Suzie Blue - Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals
16. Painter's Song - Norah Jones
17. Mistress of Storms - Bruce Cockburn
18. Fracture du Crane - Ariane Moffatt
19. A Man and A Woman - U2
20. Pride (In the Name of Love) - U2
21. The Outlandish Knight - Danu

Oh... Podcasts aren't included either... I have lots of science-related podcasts and French podcasts I listen to regularly.
