Just me rambling about birds, books, bunnies, or whatever!
Awww. Lonely, dark, and damp. That's a very moody photo. Won't be lonely for long!
Cool photo. We have friends who spend part of the summer at Thousand Islands in up-state NY. When they take us out on the St. Lawrence River, they point out the osprey nests.
Is that a special platform for the nest? I have seen osprey nests near Gananoque,Ontario, which is on the Canadian side of the Thousand Islands mentioned by KGMom.Ruth
Oh, what a glorious photo Laura! I am sure it won't take long for that nest to be really busy!
Beautiful! This reminds me that in the fall I was sitting by a large pond with a non birder friend and an osprey flew over. I freaked out because here we were in the city and an osprey was overhead. My friend had no idea what the big deal was.
What a great photo, Laura. I don't get to see Osprey as much I would like. In my perfect world, an osprey would fly low over my yard everyday!
That IS a moody shot.
What no fish????
Hang in there, big guy. That's a fine nest you have there, and a female will be along soon for some lovin'!
Amazing photo, Laura! Thanks for your visit and nice comment on my place!
Very cool the osprey made it back in my area also!
